hotels and their (in)conveniences December 3, 2006
Posted by kieslinger in : Uncategorized , trackbackalthough we usually do not spent too much time in the hotels when we are traveling – at least I do not – I still think that some basic service really makes a difference and makes a stay pleasant or not. One of them is free Internet access!
As I have been traveling quite a bit lately, I feel that I need to start making this list of hotels that have a good service at a reasonable price and do offer free Internet.
Theater Hotel Leuven-Centrum, Bondgenotenlaan 20, 3000 Leuven, Belgium
Reval Hotel Central,Tallinn, Estonia (although I heard that in the whole country you get free WLAN)
Kaunas Hotel, Kaunas, Lithuania (right in the center of Kaunas; nice view from the top floor rooms)
Hotel Carlton, Luxembourg (close to the train station; free Internet access in all rooms and WLAN in the lobby; recently refurbished rooms; run by a friendly Italian, who speaks various languages
Instead of staying in a hotel my college Sebastian Fiedler and me decided to rent an apartment during our last trip to Madrid. FriendlyRentals offers apartments of different size in 6 cities in Spain (including Madrid and Barcelona). Whereas our colleges, who stayed in a hotel were complaining about the high rates for Internet use we had free WLAN and a pleasant surrounding. I can hardly recommend it. The only weak point to mention might be the fact that we had to pay in cash.
